Fairies

Kneeling Fairies
The belief in fairies is an almost universal attribute of folk culture. Stories have originated from Tibet, North America, ancient Greece ... virtually every corner of the globe has been blessed by these tiny creatures. The sirens in Homer's Odyssey were a type of fairy, along with the genii of Egypt who would bless the life of a child. Generally considered to be benevolent, the fairies are thought responsible for everything from a healthy birth to a new love interest. They are guardians of the woodlands, but also the tricksters of men, as a fairy is nothing if not impish.
